Limekiln House offers the best of
Dorset B&B accommodation, close to Lulworth
Cove, Monkey World
and the Tank Museum. We are located on the edge of the Purbecks in a rural setting, a designated area of outstanding
natural beauty, about one mile from the South West Coastal Path and the
Jurassic Coast at Durdle Door, a World Heritage Site.
The house is located by a bridleway
off the lane between the villages of Chaldon Herring (East Chaldon) and Winfrith Newburgh. The bridleway
continues through unspoilt grassed valleys to the
coast near Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door, with views of the Purbecks and the coast from St Aldhelm's
Head to Portland Bill.

Limekiln is set in an acre lawns on
a terraced
hillside overlooking the Dorset countryside. The house is
comfortable, spacious and ideally
located for exploring south Dorset. The valleys leading to the coast remain off the tourist trail and are completely unspoilt. Lulworth Cove, Durdle
Door, Man O'War Bay and Ringstead Bay,
can be reached using bridleways and footpaths, traffic-free and with no roads to cross.
The local thatched village pub is The Sailor's
Return, half a mile away, serving restaurant and bar meals with a
good selection of wines, beers and local ales. The village store, post office,
newsagent and hairdresser in Winfrith Newburgh are one mile.
The bridleway
continues past the house, through the valley and on to Lulworth Cove
and Durdle Door
