Directions to Limekiln House

Limekiln is south of the country lane between the villages of Chaldon Herring, also called East Chaldon, and Winfrith Newburgh.

From Wareham, Wool, Weymouth and Dorchester.
Head for Winfrith Newburgh on the A352. Turn at the Red Lion pub and drive through the village for three-quarters of a mile. At the sharp left bend by the Church, cross with caution, taking the right fork signposted to East and West Chaldon. Continue along the country lane for a further three-quarters of a mile to the 30 mph and Chaldon Herring (East Chaldon) village signs. Turn left here up the bridleway, passing the New Close Car Park and Limekiln House signs. Pass the bungalow on the left and continue uphill for a further 150yards Turn right just before the farmer’s gate at the top of the slope.
  


The house is reached by turning off the lane between Winfrith Newburgh and East Chaldon (Chaldon Herring) at the village sign and following the bridleway for about 250 yards. There is ample parking on gravel within the grounds for all guests' cars.


From Lulworth
Take the road signposted to Winfrith Newburgh. After about three miles enter Winfrith. Turn left at the church  where the road you are on turns sharp right. Then proceed as above.
