How to find us

Limekiln House is located just south of the country lane between the villages of Chaldon Herring, also called East Chaldon, and Winfrith Newburgh.

From Blandford Forum A354.

The road between Bere Regis and Wool, (passing Monkey World, is bypassed on some SatNavs, so your may be lad astray.  However this road has not been closed in living memory, so your best and quickest route is as follows:

Follow the A354 for 3.5 miles (5.6km) from the final roundabout on Blandford by-pass. Take the left turn (there's a 'Slow Down' sign) along the minor road to Bere Regis passing through Winterbourne Kingston,.Turn right onto the A31 at the road road junction. Continue as next:

From Wimborne A31.

Follow the A31 to where it ends at the roundabout just before Bere Regis. Take the first exit to Bere Regis and at the next roundabout (1/2 mile, 1km) take the second exit to Monkey World and Wool. Pass Monkey World and turn right to Wool after a further mile onto the A352. Continue as next:

From Wareham, Wool, Weymouth and Dorchester.
Head for Winfrith Newburgh on the A352. Turn at the Red Lion pub and drive through the village for three-quarters of a mile. At the sharp left bend by the Church, cross with caution into the lane straight ahead, signposted to East and West Chaldon. Continue along the lane for a further three-quarters of a mile to the 30 mph, 'P' and Chaldon Herring (East Chaldon) village signs. Turn left here up the bridleway, passing the New Close Car Park and Limekiln House signs. Pass the bungalow on the left and continue uphill for a further 150yards Turn right just before the farmer’s gate at the top of the slope.   

Please park on the left facing Marley Hill across the valley.

From Lulworth
Take the road signposted to Winfrith Newburgh. After about three miles enter Winfrith. Turn left, signed to East and West Chaldon, at the church  where the road you are on turns sharp right. Then proceed as above.
